How to read these numbers

Payments posted: payments recorded during the month. These may relate to earlier services and are not a net collection rate or proof of bank reconciliation.

Outstanding A/R: unpaid balances at month-end. The four age bands add to this total. Monthly snapshots should not be added together.

A/R over 90 days: the 91+ day age band, already included in outstanding A/R—not an extra balance.

Demo denial rate: denied claims divided by adjudicated claims in the selected fictional monthly cohort. Combined payer rates use combined claim counts, not an average of percentages. Real reporting definitions must be agreed before comparisons.

All figures are invented to demonstrate reporting interactions. They are not client results, industry benchmarks, a recovery estimate, or a guarantee.
